Easter is here, and our family wishes you a Happy Easter this year. Easter is one of our favorite holidays. We enjoy the Easter egg hunts. We have fun visiting with the Easter Bunny. We get excited to decorate Easter eggs. We find amusement in hiding/finding our Easter baskets. We eat too much Easter candy!! We appreciate the yummy Easter dinner. And we love going to church to learn more of Christ, where we are reminded of Christ's resurrection, "the true meaning of Easter".
As Easter gets closer Leif continues to be busy. He will be done with his intern year this June. In June he also takes the last step of The Boards. He therefore continues to study in his free time, which is limited. On Leif's days off, he loves being with the family and teasing the twins. We normally go to the park to have a picnic and relax. Leif is a great Doctor & father.
Stay-at-home-mommy is a hard job with two busy bodies. Yet, Rachel is enjoying being a mother to two beautiful twins. She has recently started babysitting a 4 month old once a week. The twins love having a baby in the house. Rachel continues to work-out every day and is thankful the twins enjoy their bike-trailer. She looks forward for two of her sisters to visit this spring along with Grandma and Grandpa Kanooth.
Talkative Savannah is now 22 months. Every morning she will wave and say, "Bye-Bye-Daddy." She also points to Micah and says, "My Micah". Her blanket is called "Ma-ge", shoes are "ozzs" and "ah-oh" is her replacement word for anything. Savannah has become Mommy's little helper. She loves sitting on the counter and watching Mommy cook. Setting the table and cleaning out the dishwasher has become her new jobs. One of Savannah's new favorite thing is giving kisses. If you ask her for a kiss, you always get one!!
Ever-smiling Micah is also 22 months old. His favorite thing to do is throw balls, push cars, giggle, and drink milk. Micah loves balls. Anytime he sees a ball he yells, "Ball.... Ball". To him, anything round is a ball including fruits, balloons, and now Easter eggs. He has a great arm, and loves playing catch with Daddy. Micah also loves water. If there is a puddle, Micah is in it! He will stay in the bath as long as possible (even when all the water is drained). His new favorite hobby is sitting on Daddy's back while Leif is studying. Sometimes Daddy will give him a ride, and this makes Micah giggle.
Remembering the true meaning of Easter makes our love for each other grow. Because of Christ we too can be resurrected and live forever with our families. At this special time, we want to tell our families that we love them. It is hard living so far away. We miss you all. We look forward for our future trips together. May the Lord be with you and your families at this special time of year. Happy Easter.
